It features the RB330 tonearm, a dual-layer float glass platter, and a Neo turntable power supply that offers convenient speed selection, advanced anti-vibration control, and precise electronic speed adjustment. Ultra-Light DesignInspired by the success of the RP8 and RP10, the Planar 6 is the first Rega turntable to use an ultra-lightweight Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core, a material developed for the aerospace industry. This core is sandwiched between a new high-pressure laminate (HPL), which is both thin and extremely rigid, finished in Polaris matt grey with high gloss black edge trim. The Planar 6 also features a single-piece machined aluminum sub-platter, a new 24 V motor hand-tuned to its Neo power supply, and a custom drive pulley fitted with the advanced EBLT drive belt.
